Our Centre is a purpose built service and we are looking for a Trainee Early Childhood Educator to join our experienced team.

Who are we seeking?

An enthusiastic and positive person who is eager to learn, get involved and develop their skills as part of a collaborative and supportive team.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from our experienced team while developing your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.



You’ll build practical experience working with children through play-based learning, while learning how to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment that supports children’s development.

As a trainee, you’ll be supported to develop your understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, observations and documentation, programming and planning, and how we support individual children’s learning outcomes. You’ll also have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children, families and fellow educators, while gaining the confidence and skills to progress your career in early childhood education.

You must be committed to your professional development and training plan (workshops and team networking are also provided)

Commitment to providing a child safe workplace

Working With Children Check - we can guide you through this application

First Aidcertificate - you will obtain this as part of your traineeship

We are a child safe organisation. Current and ongoing Child Protection training will be required.

This is a full-time role with a rostered day off once a month

No prior experience required – just a positive attitude and commitment to learning

Leichhardt is an inner west suburb easily accessible by train (Lewisham train station), light rail and buses. We also have free street parking surrounding our Centre. We also have a Certificate 3 position available.
