Peak Arbor Services are seeking experienced arborists to join their ever growing and experienced team in maintaining vegetation around powerlines between Queanbeyan and Bathurst regions. We have a casual position available with the opportunity to turn into a full time position for the right candidate.

$37-$42 per hour based on experience and tickets held.

About the role:

Your role will primarily be trimming trees from an EWP (elevated work platform) and ground based work.

You will be working around powerlines to maintain vegetation safety clearances on the Essential Energy network.

Duties will include:

- Perform safe operation of an EWP
- Safety observing and trimming trees in accordance with Electrical Safety Rules (ESR)
- Complete ground based tasks using a pole-saw and other equipment
- Clean up work sites and make them safe after work has been completed
- Conduct daily vehicle, equipment and hazard assessment checks
- Follow company procedures, safe work method statements and site requirements

Requirements:





- Certificate in Arboriculture preferred
- Valid EWP above 11 metres
- Traffic control ticket, preferred but not essential
- White card, mandatory
- Valid mr/hr truck license, preferred
- Chainsaw ticket, mandatory
- ESI/powerline ticket, preferred

Ideal candidate will have:

- Physically fit and a robust work ethic
- Be a team player and work well in a team environment
- Able to work at heights in all weather conditions
- Understanding of safe work standards
- Ability to liaise with clients
- Be able to work away from home on a rotating roster
