We're looking for a Food & Beverage Supervisor with personality, presence and a genuine love of hospitality to join the team at The StandardX, Melbourne.

You know that a great bar or restaurant experience is about much more than what's on the plate or in the glass. It's the welcome, the energy, the music, the conversation, the details - and knowing how to read the room.

Working alongside our Food & Beverage Management team, you'll help lead the day-to-day operation of our restaurant and bar, keeping service running smoothly while creating memorable experiences for our guests. You'll be hands-on, visible on the floor and ready to jump behind the bar when needed, while coaching and developing a team that loves what they do.

Most importantly, you'll bring your own personality to the role. We're not looking for scripted hospitality.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Lead from the floor, helping coordinate the day-to-day operation of our restaurant and bar and ensuring service feels effortless.
- Be a host in every sense of the word - welcoming guests, reading the room and creating experiences people want to come back for.
- Support the Food & Beverage Management team in leading, coaching and developing the team.
- Take the lead during service.
- Get hands-on across the operation, from restaurant service to cocktails, wine and coffee.
- Share your knowledge and help deliver engaging cocktail,



wine and service training that builds confidence and consistency across the team.
- Create opportunities to drive revenue through great hospitality, thoughtful recommendations and genuine guest engagement.
- Help manage stock, purchasing, labour and costs while maintaining the standards our guests expect.
- Build strong relationships across the hotel and encourage collaboration, creativity and a one-team mentality.
- Maintain responsible service of alcohol, food safety, workplace health and safety, and all relevant hotel and licensing requirements.
- Bring energy, ideas and a sense of fun to every shift.

ABOUT YOU

While we take every detail of design and guest experience seriously, we don't take ourselves too seriously.

You'll ideally bring:

- Previous experience in a supervisory or senior Food & Beverage role within a quality restaurant, bar or hotel environment.
- Strong restaurant and bar experience, including cocktails, wine and coffee.
- A current Victorian RSA.
- Confidence leading a team and the ability to coach, motivate and bring out the best in others.
- A genuine passion for food, drinks, nightlife and Melbourne's hospitality scene.
- Commercial awareness, including an understanding of revenue, labour costs, stock control and profitability.
- Experience with POS systems and confidence using Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of food safety, responsible service and secure workplace practices.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to stay calm when things get busy - and keep the energy up around you.
- Flexibility to work across days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Full working rights in Australia.
