About the opportunity:

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Pre-Production Assistant to join our team in Somerton, VIC. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced platemaker or someone looking to learn within the label manufacturing industry.

Reporting to the Pre-press Manager, you will be an integral member of the pre-production team, responsible for preparing printing plates to meet print room needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation and production of printing plates

Accurately produce plates to meet the requirements of the print room and production schedules

Review and interpret job documentation and production requirements





Managing plate storage and filing

Ensure quality of the plates are too standard and require no re-work or create production errors or delays

Assist with maintaining production schedules and workflow requirements

Support the pre-production team with day-to-day operational tasks

Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment

To be successful in this role you will need:

High attention to detail

Be willing to learn new skills

Strong organisational and time management skills

Previous experience in manufacturing, printing, labels or production environments will be highly regarded

Exposure to pre-press, platemaking, Esko software or related systems is advantageous but not essential
