About the role

Reporting to the Workforce Coordinator Team Leader, you willbe responsible fordeveloping and managing master and operational rosters for station staff and conductors.You’llplay a key role in supporting theroster within theHastus system, applying data-driven approaches to workforce management, and driving continuous improvement in rostering processes.

Key accountabilities include :

- Develop and manage master and operational rosters, ensuring compliance with safety, EA, and fatigue risk management principles
- Maintainaccurateemployee and roster data inHastus
- Support flexible work arrangements, leave planning, and shift swaps
- Collaborate with local management teams to hand over day-of-operations responsibilities
- Analyse roster outcomes toidentifyimprovements in efficiency, process adherence, and human factors
- Champion the use ofHastusand support training for local users
- Assistin planning for service changes,special events, and public holidays

Location & Travel Considerations

This role is primarily office-based at 452 Flinders Street; however a moderate amount of regional travel is also expected (1-2 days per fortnight).

Knowledge,Skillsand Experience:

- Completion of Year 12
- Extensive experience in roster planning(experience in roster planning within transport/logistics sectors highly desirable)
- Strongproficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Workforce Planning Systems (Hastus highly desired)

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

- Ability to travel regionally to V/Line locations (1 – 2 times per fortnight)
- Intermediate experience with Workforce Planning Systems (Hastus highly desired)
- Advanced rostering experience within an Enterprise Agreement
- Experience maintaining and creating master rosters
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
