RMH Mental Health Services is at the forefront of innovative mental health and addiction treatment, with a strong focus on culturally safe and trauma-informed practice. As part of our multidisciplinary teams, you will work alongside clinical and lived and living experience staff across a range of mental health settings.

Your purpose

- Provide person-centred, non-clinical peer support that honours each person's story, strengths and self-determination
- Support consumers to identify their own goals, choices and pathways to recovery
- Build connections with consumers based on trust, safety, respect and shared understanding
- Use the principles and values of Intentional Peer Support in your day-to-day practice
- Connect consumers with Safe Haven, community supports and other relevant programs and services

About you

- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar Lived Experience Peer Support role
- Capacity to work some evening shifts 1.00pm - 9.00pm across weekdays/ weekends on a rotating roster.
- Completion of Intentional Peer Support core training
- Experience in a peer support or similar lived experience role
- Strong ability to build respectful connections through shared understanding, mutuality and trust
- A strengths-based approach that values diverse experiences, perspectives and voices
- Understanding of the principles and practice of Intentional Peer Support
- Experience developing and facilitating group activities will be highly regarded
- Certificate IV in Mental Health and experience working with ACCHO and Aboriginal communities and families will be highly regarded
