Gordon Bourke Homes is a multi award winning Toowoomba builder that has been building homes locally since 1959. We're independent, not a franchise, and we're known for quality craftsmanship, honest service and homes that reflect the people who live in them. Our in-house design and drafting team guides clients from first concept through to handover.

We're growing. More families across Toowoomba and the surrounding regions are choosing to build with us, so our team is expanding. We're adding a new role to our selections team so every client keeps getting the personal, one-on-one service we're known for.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a chance to join a growing team at an exciting time for the business. You'll work closely with our Colour Consultant, helping clients choose the colours, finishes and fixtures for their new home, and keeping the paperwork behind it accurate and on time. You'll learn the selections process from the ground up, taking on more client work as your confidence grows.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

- Preparing for colour appointments: samples, supplier catalogues and client files
- Sitting in on client appointments and taking accurate notes of selections
- Entering selections and updating colour specs and selection documents
- Requesting supplier quotes for tiles, flooring, blinds, lighting and fans
- Helping prepare colour-stage variations and documentation for review




- Chasing outstanding client selections and supplier information
- Keeping the showroom and sample library tidy and up to date
- Answering client calls and emails, and helping with reception when needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- A good eye for colour, style and how a scheme comes together
- Excellent attention to detail. Small errors in selections become big problems on site
- Strong organisation, and able to juggle several clients at once
- A friendly, confident manner with clients on the phone and in person
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office; building software experience is a bonus)
- Someone keen to learn and grow into a Colour Consultant role

Highly regarded, but not essential:

- Study in, or working towards, interior design or decoration
- Experience in residential construction, retail design, tiles, flooring or window furnishings
- Admin or customer service experience
