Dental Receptionist and Patient Care Coordinator

Mornington Peninsula Dental Clinic has been part of the local community since the 1970s. We are a busy nine-chair practice on Tanti Avenue, and we are growing. We are looking for someone warm and organised to join our front-of-house team, looking after patients at the desk and on the phone.

About the role

This role is a mix of two things. Part of your time will be spent at reception, welcoming patients, answering calls and managing appointments. The other part will be spent making follow-up calls to patients. That might be someone who is due for their check-up, someone who has treatment still to finish, or someone we have not seen for a while and would love to welcome back.

These calls are about care, not selling. Most people are glad to hear from us, and a friendly reminder is often all it takes to get them back in the chair and looking after their teeth.

What your day will look like

- Welcoming patients and helping them feel at ease from the moment they walk in
- Answering calls and booking appointments
- Calling patients who are due for their check-up or have treatment to complete




- Reaching out to patients we have not seen in a whileHandling payments, health fund claims and patient records
- Working closely with our dentists and dental assistants to keep the day flowing

Is this you?

- Dental reception or call centre experience would be great, but it is not essential. If you have worked in hospitality, retail, customer service or anywhere that people are at the heart of the job, you already have the skills that matter most. We will teach you the dental side.
- You are friendly and confident on the phone, including making outbound calls
- You are organised and like to follow things through
- You stay calm and cheerful when things get busy
- You are comfortable using computers and happy to learn new software
- You care about people and enjoy making their day a little better

- We are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, and Saturdays from 8am to 3pm. This is a full time position but we are happy to be flexible for the right person.
