Mr McCracken is seeking two experienced full-time chefs to join our kitchen team at Essendon Fields.
We have positions available across:
- Mains section
- Larder section
Mr McCracken is a high-volume restaurant and events venue, so we are looking for organised and reliable chefs who can maintain speed, consistency and quality throughout busy services.
Key responsibilities
- Complete section preparation, service and pack-down
- Prepare and cook dishes accurately and consistently
- Maintain high standards of presentation, portioning and quality
- Work efficiently during high-volume restaurant and event services
- Assist with ordering, stock rotation and waste control
- Maintain excellent food-safety and kitchen-cleanliness standards
- Communicate effectively with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team
- Support other kitchen sections when required
- Contribute to a positive and professional kitchen environment
About you
- Previous experience working as a chef in a busy commercial kitchen
- Experience running a mains or larder section
- Strong preparation, organisation and time-management skills
- Able to maintain quality and speed during peak service periods
- Calm, reliable and consistent under pressure
- Strong understanding of food safety, stock rotation and waste control
- Positive and team-focused attitude
- Available across weekdays,
evenings and weekends
- Valid Australian working rights
- Working Holiday Visa applicants are welcome
- No sponsorship is available
