At Huon, quality and food safety are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for a Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our Ingleburn Processing team on aterm contract of 6 months with the possibility of going full time permanent.

Reporting to the Senior Quality Assurance Associate, you will support the day-to-day quality assurance function, ensuring food safety, compliance, and quality processes are effectively maintained across the site.

Reporting to the Senior Quality Assurance Associate, you will support the day-to-day quality assurance function, ensuring food safety, compliance, and quality processes are effectively maintained across the site.

About the role

As a Quality Assurance Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality systems.
- Conducting quality monitoring, testing, verification, and record keeping activities.
- Maintaining quality documentation, forms, and controlled records.
- Monitoring product quality, traceability, labelling, temperatures, and storage requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety standards, customer requirements, and company procedures.




- Identifying and reporting non-conformances and assisting with corrective actions.
- Supporting HACCP, food safety, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assisting with internal and external audits.
- Coordinating mock recalls and supporting product recall procedures when required.Assisting with approved supplier, pest control, and equipment calibration programs.
- Supporting new product development trials and validation activities.
- Working closely with Production, Maintenance, Inventory, Dispatch, and Quality teams to maintain quality standards.

About you

You will bring:

- Previous experience in a quality assurance, food safety, or compliance role.
- Experience within a food manufacturing, processing, or production environment is highly regarded.
- Solid attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- HACCP training would be an advantage.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer and data entry skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety, food safety, and quality standards.
