- White-label integration, in-game and out
- End-to-end content management
- Live metrics and insights dashboards
- Premium UGC monetisation
About the role
We think happy, focused people are at the heart of a thriving business. As our People & Culture Lead, you'll partner with our leadership team to build an exceptional team that can deliver our ambitious goals.
This is a hands-on role with no direct reports. You'll own People & Culture end to end - from strategy conversations with leadership through to the offer letter - improving how people join, grow, perform and leave, and keeping our HR governance in good shape.
What you'll do
- Recruitment: lead hiring from job description to onboarding, and build a diverse team in a competitive market.
- Onboarding and offboarding: own and keep improving both, including exit interviews, systems access and relocation support.
- People development: run our annual performance review program, grow our professional development program and coordinate training across the year.
- HR advice: coach managers and leaders through performance management, restructures,
role changes and other complex people matters, keeping good records along the way.
- Systems, policy and documentation: own our HRIS, HR policies and documentation, and keep them concise, readable and compliant.
- Culture and events: champion our values, suggest improvements and bring the team together through events, off-sites and the odd hackathon.
Who you are
You're an experienced People & Culture professional who believes happy, focused people are at the heart of a thriving business.
You're warm and proactive, and you love helping people grow. You pick up quickly on what drives someone to do their best work, and you build trust across the team and with leadership. You handle people matters in a firm but friendly way. You're comfortable having difficult conversations when they're needed, and you have the objectivity to know when something isn't working.
You get excited about positive leadership, continuous improvement and learning (you've probably watched too many videos on it in your spare time). You're a doer, happy to roll up your sleeves for anything from sorting a new starter's laptop to leading a restructure. You like to experiment, whether that's a smart spreadsheet, a Slack workflow or a better way to run a process. And you bring an energy and sense of fun to the workplace that people notice.
What you'll bring
- Five or more years in a People & Culture or HR generalist role.
- Experience in a technology or creative business through start-up and scale-up stages.
- Experience in a business of 30-100 people working hybrid and across time zones.
- Hands-on experience with performance management, restructures and other difficult people processes.
- Working knowledge of Australian workplace laws and good HR practice.
- Experience using task-management tools and working in an agile way.
- An interest in video games, web development roles and industry trends.
Bonus points if you have a dozen Sims you're still managing and romancing when you're not playing Stardew Valley or Baldur's Gate 3.
Why join us
