The role

As the General Manager Operations, you will have direct oversight of operational performance with the opportunity to influence the daily journeys of thousands of passengers whilst ensuring Sydney Light Rail maintains its position as a protected, reliable, efficient and customer focused passenger network.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will oversee a large and diverse workforce responsible for driving operational excellence, maintaining systems stability and enhancing the overall customer experience. This opportunity goes beyond routine management of service delivery; it encompasses collaborative decision-making and the ability to lead change.In addition, the role provides extensive engagement with executive leadership, government agencies, regulators,



consortium partners, contractors, and community stakeholders.

What you bring

In addition to your tertiary qualifications, we are looking for an exceptional Operational Leader with the ability to motivate, inspire and develop teams within a passenger centric / transport environment. This will be supported by a strong understanding of compliance, risk assessment and operational controls. You will be a highly skilled communicator with an understanding of complex contractual arrangements within the operational phase of a Public Private Partnership. This will be further enhanced by commercial and analytical capability enabling you to monitor and act on critical business metrics and KPIs to deliver sustainable improvements and operational excellence.
