Our client is a leading global insurance services and loss adjusting organisation, providing specialist claims management and adjusting services to some of the world's largest insurers, brokers and corporate clients.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Liability Loss Adjuster to join their specialist team. This is an opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of complex and technically challenging liability claims, with exposure to major and complex losses across the Australian market.

The Role

As a Liability Loss Adjuster, you will be responsible for managing claims from initial instruction through to resolution, providing expert advice on liability, coverage, quantum and strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Managing a portfolio of complex and high-value liability claims from notification through to finalisation.
- Investigating claims through site visits, interviews, evidence gathering and review of relevant documentation.
- Assessing policy coverage, liability, causation and quantum and providing clear recommendations to insurers.
- Managing claims across areas including Public Liability, Products Liability, Property Damage, Personal Injury and Contractual Liability.
- Reviewing witness statements, expert reports, contracts, photographs, medical information and other evidence.
- Liaising with insurers, brokers, insureds, solicitors, claimants, experts and other key stakeholders.
- Appointing and managing external experts, investigators, engineers and legal representatives where required.
- Preparing detailed investigation, liability, quantum and settlement reports.
- Identifying potential recovery, contribution and subrogation opportunities.




- Negotiating settlements within delegated authority and providing recommendations on matters requiring insurer approval.
- Managing claims in accordance with client service standards, regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
- Providing regular updates and maintaining strong relationships with key insurer and broker clients.

About You

You will be an experienced Liability Loss Adjuster with a strong technical understanding of the Australian insurance market and a proven ability to manage complex claims independently.

You will ideally have:

- Several years' experience within loss adjusting, claims management or liability claims.
- Strong technical knowledge across liability insurance and relevant Australian legislation.
- Experience handling complex, litigated or high-value claims.
- Excellent investigation, analytical and report-writing capabilities.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to confidently communicate technical findings to insurers and other stakeholders.
- A commercial approach to claims resolution and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Relevant insurance qualifications such as ANZIIF/CIP or equivalent are desirable.
