So, what’s the role?

Based from CMV Group’s Greenhill Road office, this is a hands-on WHS Advisor position supporting businesses and sites predominantly across metropolitan Adelaide, with occasional travel to regional South Australian locations.

You’ll work closely with managers and leaders across the Group, providing practical WHS advice, coaching and guidance while building their capability and driving continuous improvement in safety practices.

This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your week sitting behind a desk. You’ll be visible across the business, building relationships,



understanding how different sites operate and working alongside leaders to identify opportunities and achieve better safety outcomes.

There’s plenty of variety, autonomy and scope to make an impact. You’ll have established systems and frameworks to work with, the support of a WHS Coordinator and the opportunity to be involved in broader WHS projects as the function continues to grow and evolve.

A typical week might see you:

- Building strong relationships across sites and influencing positive safety behaviours
- Identifying hazards, assessing risks and working with leaders to implement practical controls
- Leading incident investigations and ensuring actions and outcomes are followed through
- Conducting internal WHS audits and contributing to external audits
- Supporting the ongoing implementation and improvement of WHS systems, policies and procedures
- Keeping leaders informed of relevant legislative changes and WHS requirements
- Identifying training needs and facilitating WHS training where required
- Contributing to monthly safety reporting, research and broader WHS projects
- Helping drive a proactive, positive safety culture across the Group.

Who are you?

You’re an experienced WHS professional who is passionate about making workplaces safer and enjoys being out in the business, partnering with people rather than simply policing process.

You’ll need a level of confidence in this role. You’ll be working with managers and leaders across a diverse group of businesses,



so you need to be comfortable holding your own, providing advice and constructively challenging when required. Just as importantly, you know that influencing better safety outcomes starts with relationships – you’re approachable, credible and able to bring people with you.

You’re proactive and motivated, with a genuine interest in improving WHS across an organisation. You notice the detail, follow things through and don’t wait for an issue to arise before looking for ways things could be done better.

You’ll bring:

- Previous experience in a WHS Advisor or similar role, ideally with a Certificate IV in WHS/OHS
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, standards and regulations
- Confident communicator with solid relationship-building and stakeholder influencing skills
- Proactive, organised and detail-focused, with the ability to drive improvements and follow actions through
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Experience within workshop, automotive, agricultural or similarly operational environments would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.
