Reporting to the QLD State Manager, this is a customer-facing sales and business development role responsible for growing sales across existing and new accounts throughout Queensland. You will develop relationships with electrical contractors, wholesalers and other key industry customers, identify new project and account opportunities and work closely with our internal sales and engineering teams to provide practical cable support solutions. The role combines business development, account management, project sales and technical product support and will involve regular customer visits throughout Brisbane and regional Queensland.

Key responsibilities

- Identify and develop new sales and business opportunities
- Manage and grow relationships with existing customers and key accounts
- Develop relationships with electrical contractors, wholesalers and project stakeholders
- Maintain a strong schedule of customer visits and market activity
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales and project pipeline
- Promote Burndy's cable support, seismic and associated solutions
- Identify project opportunities and follow them through from initial enquiry to quotation and order
- Assist with project quotations, tenders and larger sales opportunities
- Provide customers with product, pricing and technical information
- Work closely with internal sales, engineering and operations teams to meet customer requirements

About you

- Experience managing and developing key accounts




- Experience within the electrical, construction, manufacturing, steel or industrial supply sectors would be highly regarded
- Existing exposure to electrical contractors or the electrical wholesale market would be advantageous
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Commercial awareness and confidence discussing pricing and project opportunities
- Ability to manage a sales pipeline and work to agreed targets
- Positive CRM and computer skills
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- Ability to work independently while being part of a broader sales team
