Assistive Technology & Medical Equipment Specialist
As an Assistive Technology Specialist, you will work across our showroom in Preston and as a mobile service, supporting clients with product selection, demonstrations, trials and equipment recommendations. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands assistive technology and enjoys working directly with clients, families, clinicians and healthcare professionals to find practical solutions that genuinely make a difference.
Key responsibilities
- Meet with clients and families to understand their needs and goals
- Provide product demonstrations and equipment trials
- Recommend appropriate assistive technology and mobility solutions
- Work closely with OTs, physiotherapists, podiatrists and other healthcare professionals
- Build strong relationships with clinicians, care providers and community organisations
- Attend in-home appointments and equipment trials across Melbourne
- Prepare quotes and assist with the sales and procurement process
- Coordinate equipment supply, delivery and installation where required
- Provide clients and support networks with product education and training
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
About you
- Experience working with assistive technology and/or mobility equipment
- Strong understanding of the needs of people living with disability, ageing-related changes or reduced mobility
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working with clients, families and healthcare professionals
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- Strong product knowledge and an ability to learn new equipment quickly
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- The ability to travel across Melbourne for client appointments and equipment trials
