Said Earthmoving Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our team on a full time Based in Geelong VIC 3220. As a Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating backhoe equipment on various construction and civil engineering sites, playing a crucial part in the successful completion of our projects.

Key responsibilities

- Operate backhoe machinery safely and efficiently in accordance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
- Perform pre-operational inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order
- Excavate, load and move materials such as soil, rock and debris with precision and accuracy
- Work in collaboration with site supervisors, surveyors and other team members to complete tasks to specification
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and machinery hours
- Identify and report any equipment faults or safety concerns to supervisors promptly
- Adhere to site-specific instructions and safety protocols at all times
- Assist with site setup, cleanup and general site maintenance as required





What we're looking for

- Current Backhoe operation or equivalent certification
- Minimum of 5 years' demonstrable experience operating backhoe equipment on construction or earthmoving sites
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to plant operation and construction sites
- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination
- Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Current driver's licence
- White Card (Construction Induction)
