Gorilla Jobs is seeking Locum Emergency Medicine Doctors across Sydney and regional NSW, from senior RMOs through to CMOs and Consultants.

This role is ideal for doctors who want variety — whether that means picking up shifts close to home, exploring regional NSW or rotating between different ED settings.

You can work across major referral centres, district hospitals, regional base hospitals and smaller EDs depending on your level and preferences.

Clinical Environment

- ED roles across metro, peri-urban and regional settings
- Presentations include trauma, resus, acute medicine, paediatrics, mental health and minor injuries
- Work with supportive multidisciplinary teams
- Defined escalation and retrieval pathways
- Strong exposure across different hospital environments

Requirements

- AHPRA General or Specialist Registration
- PGY3+ with recent Emergency Medicine or acute care experience
- Solid ED experience required for senior CMO or FACEM roles
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to complete NSW Health credentialing and compliance

Location

Opportunities are available across Sydney and Greater Sydney, including Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains, as well as regional NSW locations such as Hunter Recent England, Murrumbidgee, Western NSW and Southern NSW.

This is ideal for ED doctors wanting flexibility, location choice and the option to combine city convenience with regional locum experience.

Referral Program

Also, if locum work isn’t for you at the moment but you know another doctor who may be interested, we do have a referral program. Successful referrals can receive a $1,100 prepaid gift card for non-specialist doctors, or $1,600 for specialist/consultant referrals, once the referred doctor has completed the required shifts.
