We are seeking a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper to join the team at Rydalmere Prestige Smash Repairs. This is a full-time position based in Rydalmere, NSW. In this role, you will provide essential financial administration and bookkeeping support to our business, ensuring accurate financial records and efficient day-to-day accounting operations. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our organization and supporting management with timely financial information.
Key responsibilities
Recording and processing daily financial transactions, invoices, receipts and payments
Preparing bank reconciliations and identifying discrepancies
Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Assisting with payroll administration and employee expense claims
Organizing and filing financial documentation in accordance with company procedure
Liaising with suppliers, customers and financial institutions regarding account enquiries
Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures
Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information
What we're looking for
Relevant qualification in accounting, bookkeeping or finance,
or equivalent experience
Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional approach to confidential financial information
Eagerness to learn and develop your accounting knowledge and skills
Experience in a trade, manufacturing or automotive industry would be advantageous
