Senior Accountant – Property Development & Construction

We are a growing and dynamic property development and construction business seeking an ambitious Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional with approximately 5 - 10 years' experience who is looking to broaden their commercial exposure and work closely with senior executives in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the COO, you will play a key role in providing financial insight and supporting decision-making across multiple development and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packages
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and month-end journals
- Preparation of weekly payroll
- Processing accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Bank reconciliations
- Supporting statutory reporting, audit and tax compliance requirements
- Assisting with process improvements and financial controls
- Providing timely and accurate financial information to operational stakeholders
- Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for the CFO and COO





About You

- Approximately 5 - 10 years' accounting experience
- Experience within the property development, construction or related industries is highly regarded
- CA or CPA qualified, or currently studying towards qualification
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
- Experience using MYOB and Jobpac (or similar construction/project accounting systems) preferred
- Strong excel skills and financial modelling capability
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented and commercially minded
