First Nations Curator (Identified: Australian First Nations)

We are looking for a dynamic First Nations Curator with specialised experience working with archival collections, curating exhibitions and public programs, and engaging meaningfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to preserve and share their stories.

You will play a key role in our Collection Curation and Engagement team connecting communities and collections, and telling stories that inspire and challenge State Library's online audiences and visitors.

It is a genuine occupational requirement for this position to be filled by an Aboriginal person or Torres Strait Islander person, as permitted by and arguable under, Sections 25, 104 and 105 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.

This role is an identified role under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.

The role focusses on engaging with communities,curating exhibitions, and delivering public programming that share the experiences and perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.



As the First Nations Curator you will also provide specialised advice and research onState Library's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander collections.
