Many property analysts see one part of an investment. This role follows the capital from acquisition, through development and funding, into the managed portfolio.

A leading Melbourne real estate investment and development platform is appointing a Financial Analyst. The business is fully integrated, with a substantial national development pipeline, a growing portfolio of managed assets and active projects across commercial, industrial, mixed-use and residential property.

Working directly with senior leadership and experienced investment professionals, you will contribute to the decisions that determine whether an opportunity proceeds, how it is funded and how it performs once held.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

- Evaluate acquisitions and development opportunities, including market research, asset analysis, comparable transactions and detailed financial modelling.
- Prepare development feasibilities, investment papers and presentations for internal investment committees.
- Support financial, legal and technical due diligence and help coordinate execution with advisers, financiers and consultants.
- Model debt and equity structures for development and investment projects and support financing discussions with lenders and equity partners.
- Monitor debt facilities, covenant requirements and project-level capital structures.




- Prepare portfolio analysis, quarterly reporting and investor updates for property investment vehicles and managed assets.
- Analyse asset performance, valuation movements and return attribution, working with development and asset-management teams to identify value-creation opportunities.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

- Approximately 2 to 4 years of experience in real estate investment, property finance, capital transactions, corporate finance advisory or a financial-modelling role with relevant transaction exposure.
- Robust financial modelling and analytical capability, including experience evaluating transactions and building investment or development models.
- A commercial interest in property investment and development, clear written and verbal communication and the ability to manage several workstreams without losing detail.
- A degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Property or a related discipline.
