Milieu Early Education & Care is seeking a Nominated supervisor.

We are interested in hearing from experienced Room Leaders who are looking to take the next step in their early childhood career and develop their leadership skills within a supportive environment at our Condell Park Service (27 place centre)

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who enjoys being actively involved on the floor, building genuine relationships with children, families and educators, while having dedicated administration hours to focus on the leadership and operational responsibilities of the position.

About the Role

- Be actively involved on the floor alongside educators and children.
- Build positive, respectful and meaningful relationships with children and families.
- Lead, mentor and support educators in their daily practice.
- Model high-quality early childhood practice.
- Support the Educational Leader and educator team.
- Oversee the implementation of a high-quality, child-centred educational program.
- Promote a strong child‑safe culture.
- Lead and contribute to the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Maintain compliance with the NQF, NQS, National Law and Regulations.
- Build strong partnerships with families and the wider community.
- Support staffing, supervision, ratios, health and safety and daily operations.
- Support staff development, induction, performance and professional growth.

Dedicated Administration Hours

We understand that effective leadership requires time away from the floor.

You will have dedicated administration hours to focus on:

- Service administration and compliance
- QIP and continuous improvement




- Staff management and mentoring
- Educational program oversight
- Documentation and record keeping
- Family communication and engagement
- Planning, meetings and communication
- Policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Operational responsibilities

This provides the opportunity to remain connected to children and educators while having protected time to effectively lead the service.

Are you an experienced Room Leader ready to take the next step?

We are particularly interested in hearing from educators who have demonstrated leadership experience as a Room Leader, Educational Leader, 2IC or similar role and are looking to progress their career.

You may be ready to:

- Develop your understanding of the Nominated Supervisor role.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Is passionate about working directly with children and educators.
- Is a confident and approachable leader.




- Enjoys being a visible leader on the floor.
- Has Room Leader or other early childhood leadership experience.
- Is looking for career growth and professional development.
- Can balance floor‑based practice with leadership responsibilities.
- Has a strong understanding of the NQF and NQS.
- Understands child protection and mandatory reporting responsibilities.
- Builds strong relationships with children, families and educators.
- Is organised, professional and able to manage competing priorities.
- Is committed to continuous improvement and high‑quality practice.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants will ideally have:

- Bachelor/Degree in Early Childhood Education recognised by ACECQA, or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
- Leadership experience within an early childhood service.
- Room Leader experience is highly regarded.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management training.
- Current Child Protection and National Child Safety Training.
- Current Working with Children Check/Vulnerable Persons Check, as applicable.
