Western Downs Digital Park

Western Downs Digital Park is a major current hyperscale data centre campus in Queensland. Its first building is in construction, bringing together base build, high-voltage and utility delivery, commissioning and customer fit-out. Further buildings will move into delivery as the campus develops.

The role

The Planning Manager – Construction Delivery will build and maintain the integrated master construction programme for WDDP’s first building. You will bring contractor and workstream schedules together into one dependable view of the critical path, milestones, interfaces and delivery risks.

This role sits close to the work. You will validate reported progress against site conditions, identify schedule conflicts early and help delivery leaders agree practical recovery actions. As future buildings mobilise, you will receive their programmes from the pre-construction planning function and integrate them into construction delivery reporting.

What you will lead

- The integrated master programme across base build, HV and utilities, quality and commissioning, and customer fit-out.
- Critical path and interface analysis, including energisation, construction completion, commissioning readiness and handover milestones.




- Baseline and actual progress tracking, variance analysis, schedule risk and recovery planning.
- Integration and challenge of schedules submitted by general contractors and specialist vendors.
- Workstream planning meetings, milestone trackers, risk reviews and consolidated reporting for project leadership.
- Programme links to cost phasing, contractual commitments and operational readiness.
- The construction planning handover for future buildings as they reach mobilisation.

What you will bring

You will be an experienced construction planner or project controls professional who can make a complex programme both technically sound and useful to the people delivering it. You will be comfortable challenging contractor schedules and reporting the real position when a milestone is at risk.

- At least six years in planning or project controls on major construction, infrastructure or mission-critical projects.
- Direct experience developing integrated master programmes across multiple contractors and technical workstreams.
- Strong Primavera P6 or MS Project skills and a sound grasp of critical path, schedule risk and progress measurement.
- Experience working with contractor planning teams and producing concise reporting for senior project leaders.
- An understanding of the relationship between programme changes, cost, commissioning and handover.
- Australian construction experience is valuable; data centre experience is highly regarded.

The opportunity

You will have a central role in the delivery of WDDP’s first building and the phases that follow. Your programme will be the shared source of truth for decisions across construction, power, commissioning and handover.
