Our client is a growing strategic CFO and business advisory firm that works as the outsourced CFO for businesses across a diverse range of industries. They provide strategic financial leadership, management reporting, cash flow forecasting, funding support, financial modelling, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, R&D; advisory and ongoing commercial guidance.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to deliver management accounting and commercial advisory support to clients while being mentored and developed into a trusted commercial adviser and future Fractional CFO. The role can start as part-time or full-time, with a pathway to a permanent full-time leadership position.

Reporting directly to the Founder and CFO, some of your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing monthly management accounts and client Board reporting packs
- Financial performance analysis, budget versus actual reporting and financial statement analysis
- Managing month-end,



end-of-financial-year processes and KPI reporting
- Supporting the Fractional CFO team with cash flow forecasting, financial modelling, scenario analysis and budget preparation
- Assisting clients with funding applications, capital raising, mergers, acquisitions, due diligence and R&D; reporting
- Using AI tools to improve the speed, quality and insight of reporting, analysis and modelling
- Supporting teammates locally and offshore and helping coordinate workflow across teams
- Assisting with client proposals and business development activities from time to time

About You

The successful candidate will have:

- A degree in accounting, finance or commerce
- At least 5 years' relevant accounting or management accounting experience
- CA or CPA qualification, or working towards it (highly regarded)
- Experience with cloud accounting platforms such as Xero (highly regarded)
- A genuine interest in AI and current use of tools like ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot
- Vibrant, positive energy, proactive, excellent people skills and a love of learning
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
