Avive Alphington is seeking an experienced and reliable Cleaning Supervisor to lead and support our cleaning team in maintaining a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment. The working hours will be: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.

The successful applicant will have relevant supervisory cleaning experience, ideally within a mental health, healthcare, hospital, aged care, disability services or similar environment. You will be responsible for coordinating daily cleaning operations and ensuring high standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise, support and coordinate cleaning staff
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor work completion
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control
- Complete regular inspections and quality audits
- Ensure cleaning procedures, safety requirements and site protocols are followed
- Manage cleaning chemicals, equipment and stock levels
- Respond promptly to client and site requirements
- Train and mentor team members
- Report and undertake any maintenance issues, incidents and supply requirements
- Maintain accurate cleaning and compliance records
- Promote a respectful, safe and qualified workplace

About you

- Relevant experience in mental health or a comparable healthcare or supported-care setting
- Understanding of infection control, chemical safety and safe cleaning practices
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and lead a team
- Professional, dependable and compassionate approach
- Ability to work respectfully around clients, residents, staff and visitors




- Current police check and any relevant healthcare or disability screening requirements, or willingness to obtain them
- Appropriate work rights in Australia
