Disability Support Worker – SIL & Community Support

Led by hands-on directors Connor and Phoebe, we are looking for reliable, confident and proactive Disability Support Workers to join our team.

This role involves supporting participants with daily living, personal care, community access, behavioural support and building independence across SIL, respite and community-based environments.

We support participants with a range of complex needs, including Behaviour Support Plans and behaviours of concern, so we are looking for staff who are calm under pressure, qualified, emotionally regulated and confident following established support strategies.

We are not necessarily looking for the most experienced person in the industry. We are looking for people who already have a general understanding of disability support work, understand the responsibility that comes with the role and are willing to learn participant-specific routines and support strategies.

This is a casual role with consistent ongoing shifts and regular roster structure. For the right candidate, there may also be opportunities to transition into permanent part-time employment.





Your responsibilities will include:

- Personal care and daily living support
- Community access and transport
- Medication assistance and documentation
- Supporting routines, meal preparation and household tasks
- Accurate shift notes and incident reporting
- Following Behaviour Support Plans and participant-specific strategies
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviours of concern
- Working collaboratively with families, allied health professionals and the wider support team
- Maintaining professional boundaries, confidentiality and safeguarding responsibilities

What we are looking for:

- Previous disability support experience or a good general understanding of the role
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Working With Children Check where applicable
- Confidence supporting participants with complex needs
- Strong communication and professional accountability
- Ability to remain calm and follow support strategies in challenging situations
- Ability to work sleepovers, weekends and flexible shifts
- Reliability and commitment to consistent ongoing shifts
- A willingness to learn and complete participant-specific training
