- Complete research and environmental scanning activities, undertake analysis of data and interpret and communicate the results to inform the development and review of health service plans.
- Contribute to the development of statewide/system service needs analysis, statewide plans, system positions and other statewide planning products, to inform future service, policy, governance, planning and purchasing/commissioning decisions.
- Use endorsed planning frameworks, methodologies and tools to prepare timely and robust advice on health service planning issues to inform decision making.
- Utilise project management methodologies, tools and frameworks to provide effective project management, monitoring and reporting of state-wide plans and strategies.

Role fit

The essential requirements for this role are:

- Understanding of, or the ability to quickly acquire an understanding of health service planning processes and the ability to utilise departmental frameworks and tools to contribute to large, complex statewide health service plans.
- Sound research skills including the capability to critically analyse, summarise and apply health literature, data and information into plans, reports, discussion papers and submissions.
- Sound project management skills, including the ability to develop project documentation, and support day to day project monitoring and delivery activities.
- Sound interpersonal skills, including ability to cultivate productive working relationships with the team and key stakeholders and ability to effectively represent the interests of the Department.
