Finance ManagerSydney CBD$130,000 – $150,000 + Super

An established and highly regarded skilled services business is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of its day-to-day finance function. Working closely with senior leadership, this is a broad, hands‑on position combining financial management, reporting and commercial support. You’ll be joining a collaborative business where finance plays an important role in supporting operational and commercial decision‑making.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the finance function, with duties including:

- Monthly management reporting and financial analysis
- Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
- Month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations
- Project and operational financial reporting
- Accounts receivable, invoicing and cash collection oversight
- Accounts payable and payment management
- Payroll and associated statutory obligations
- Maintaining strong financial controls and processes
- Supporting senior leaders with budgets and financial performance
- Liaising with external accountants, banks and other professional advisers
- Providing commercial and financial input across the wider business




- Supporting and overseeing transactional finance activities

About You

You will be an experienced, hands‑on finance professional who is comfortable operating across both management‑level reporting and the day‑to‑day finance function.

Ideally, you will bring:

- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification
- Approximately8+ years’ accounting experience
- Experience within professional services, consulting or another project‑based environment
- Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting capability
- Experience managing month‑end and financial reporting
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, including payroll
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
- Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a hands‑on setting

This would suit an established Finance Manager or Financial Controller who enjoys being close to the business and wants a broad role with genuine ownership and visibility.
