We are currently in the market to recruit a mature, independent and energetic transport professional in our Pinkenbalocation.

We are looking for someone who has a growing skill set & capacity and who seeks an opportunity for development and desire to grow into a more senior role. The position is likely to suit someone who is on their way ''up''. It will require some solid hard yakka, with developing communication and management skills.

Tasks:

- Assist the Fleet Manager as required although there will be many constant tasks that this role will own and be responsible for
- Lead a group of approx 8 drivers each morning, assisting them as required
- Delegating and ensuring tasks are started/completed on time
- Site inductions as needed
- Depot collects/agent pickups and liaising with customers
- Identification and processing of priority freight
- Handling of exception freight including scanning, repacking and processing
- Scanning of items within depot
- Management of larger/bulkier freight, including run creation for bulk drivers
- Contribution to depot success through input,



suggestions, recommendations and honest feedback

Role requirement:

- Flexibility of hours, but accepting that it is a circa 530-6am start
- Being available for weekends as required
- Enthusiasm and a strong work ethic
- Team playing attributes
- A current and valid forklift licence, experience in driving with demonstrable skills
- Sound computer skills(developing skills absolutely OK)
- An acceptance of the physical nature of the role as you will be lifting items that may be small, heavy, large, cumbersome, or all of the above
- The desire and ability to learn
- The understanding that we have standard processes that are not always adaptable but we want you to have the willingness to find and suggest better ways to do things
- The understanding that you can do things your way as long as the key requirements are met

This role will be great for someone who can and wants to work autonomously but understands that there will be lots of contact with others from HX.

This role is a real stepping stone into management and you may also be rewarded for your performance through our bonus scheme.
