Are you confident with technology, professional on the phone and motivated by helping customers solve problems? Join Aero Ranger in a predominantly desk-based role supporting customers across Australia, New Zealand and other overseas markets.

About us

Aero Ranger is an Australian technology company developing software, AI-powered camera systems and connected hardware for parking management and vehicle intelligence.

We design and build our own products, bringing together web dashboards, apps and equipment used by councils, universities and commercial operators. Based in North Perth, we’re a practical, collaborative team that values clear communication, initiative and people who take ownership of their work.

About the role

Your main focus will be software and customer support. You’ll answer calls, manage our support ticketing system, troubleshoot issues and carry out customer check-ins, helping people use our products confidently and effectively.

Learning our products inside and out is essential. You’ll actively use our dashboards, apps and hardware to understand customer workflows, demonstrate features, reproduce problems and guide customers through solutions. Product training will be provided, and you’ll be expected to take ownership of building and maintaining your knowledge.

You’ll bring an AI-first approach to your work, using AI tools thoughtfully to investigate issues, find information, improve documentation and work more efficiently.

This is a customer support position with a sales-oriented, commercially aware approach. When a higher subscription tier, additional product or hardware would address a customer’s needs, you’ll be comfortable explaining the options and involving our sales team.

The role is based in our North Perth office, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm. As you progress and become more confident and capable, travel may be required for special projects and to assist customers on site at their locations.

What you’ll do

- Answer customer calls: Provide clear, professional and friendly assistance,

explaining features and troubleshooting steps in a way customers can follow.
- Manage support tickets: Record, prioritise and triage requests, maintain accurate notes, keep customers informed and follow issues through to resolution.
- Troubleshoot software: Ask good questions, check settings, reproduce reported issues and resolve common software and configuration problems.
- Escalate effectively: Give our technical team transparent descriptions, relevant evidence and steps to reproduce more complex issues.
- Master our products: Develop deep practical knowledge through everyday use, training and testing new features across our dashboards, apps and connected hardware.
- Check in with customers: Understand how they’re using the product, identify problems early and help them get more value from available features.
- Support overseas customers: Provide reliable assistance and coordinate communication and follow-ups with customers in different time zones.
- Recognise upgrade opportunities: Identify where higher subscription tiers, additional products or hardware could benefit customers, explain relevant options and coordinate sales follow-up.
- Use AI in everyday work: Apply AI tools to research, troubleshooting, drafting and documentation, checking accuracy and applying your own judgement.
- Get hands-on when needed: Assist with basic hardware setup and troubleshooting, including cables, power supplies and connections.
- Improve support resources: Maintain clear guides and knowledge articles that help customers and colleagues find reliable answers.
- Provide on-site assistance as you develop: Travel when required to support special projects, customer setup, training and troubleshooting.

About you

You’re curious, practical and organised. You enjoy learning how things work,

take ownership of problems and follow through on what you promise.

You’ll bring:

- Excellent spoken communication and a professional phone manner. You explain things clearly, listen carefully, check understanding and adapt your approach to customers with different levels of technical confidence.
- Confidence with web dashboards, apps and software settings. You pick up unfamiliar systems quickly and are comfortable exploring how they work.
- A commitment to mastering the product. You ask questions, practise and investigate until you can confidently help others.
- A methodical approach to troubleshooting. You pay attention to detail, work through problems logically and know when to seek assistance.
- Strong organisation and written communication. You can manage several support requests, write useful notes and keep track of follow-ups.
- An AI-first mindset. You’re keen to use AI tools to improve your work while remaining responsible for the quality of the answer.
- Commercial awareness. You’re comfortable discussing upgrades when they offer practical value and suit the customer’s needs.
- Practical confidence with basic hardware. You’re willing to understand connections, check equipment and get hands-on. Familiarity with basic hand tools is helpful.
- Willingness to travel when required as your skills and responsibilities grow.

Experience in software support, a help desk or a technical customer service role would be valuable. Experience using a support ticketing system would also be useful.

You must have the legal right to work in Australia.
