About the role

We are looking for a Lab Technician to support routine electrochemical experiments and laboratory operations at our R&D; facility in Clayton, Victoria. This is a full-time, on-site role reporting to James Carthew.

You will help prepare reliable solutions and calibrants, maintain laboratory equipment and produce clear records that support the team’s experimental work.

What you will do

- Carry out routine electrochemical experiments using assigned methods, recording results and raising unexpected findings.
- Prepare, test and validate solutions and calibrants in accordance with procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, including pH meters and analytical balances, and keep accurate records.




- Provide technical support and advice for laboratory waste disposal in accordance with procedures.
- Work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to understand design requirements and communicate progress, equipment issues and support needs.

What you will bring

- A tertiary qualification or degree in Chemistry, or an equivalent qualification appropriate to a technician role. Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
- Careful laboratory practice, attention to detail and the ability to follow methods and document results clearly.
- Explicit communication and a cooperative approach to working with colleagues.

Development in the role

You will build proficiency in assigned experimental methods, solution preparation and equipment calibration. Your responsibilities can expand as you complete training and demonstrate capability.
