The OpportunityWe are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated sessional ELICOS Teachers to join our team. If you are passionate about teaching and committed to creating engaging learning experiences, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

As a Sessional ELICOS Teacher at Monash College, you will play a pivotal role in delivering transformative and engaging learning experience within our English Language curriculum. Reporting to the Program Leader, you will collaborate with fellow teachers in team-teaching and co-teaching environments, bringing innovation and best practice to the classroom to enhance student outcomes.

We are entering a peak period and need candidates who are immediately available for work. Due to the casual nature of the job, hours will fluctuate and be assigned on an as-needed basis to manage relief or emergency cover requirements.

About You

You will bring a student-focused and interactive teaching approach, along with the ability to utilise effective technology in achieving student learning outcomes. You will be adept at working in a multicultural educational workplace and collaborate effectively with colleagues to create an optimal student experience. In addition, you will have:

An undergraduate degree and recognised TESOL teaching qualification (qualifications must satisfy regulatory and industry requirements).

A profound understanding of English language principles and effective teaching methodologies tailored to your adult learners.





Proven experience teaching on a direct entry English program/high level EAP experience will be preferenced

Proven experience and confidence utilising technology in the classroom to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

Demonstrated capability in creating innovative and engaging course materials.

Be flexible and open to change, with the ability to adapt to new situations and embrace evolving educational practices.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to effectively interact with individuals, particularly in team-teaching, co-teaching and collaborative settings.

An understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity, with the ability to effectively navigate and interact in intercultural contexts
