- For more than 50 years, this family-owned aged care organisation has built its reputation around something quite simple: care is personal.

- Relationships matter. People know each other. And that sense of family remains at the heart of how the organisation operates.

- Now, an important part of the business is coming closer to home too.

- After around 30 years of outsourced accounting, the organisation is creating its inaugural Financial Accountant position – bringing financial leadership in-house at an exciting point in its evolution.

- This isn’t about stepping into somebody else’s role.

- It’s yours to establish.

WHAT’S THE OPPORTUNITY?

- You’ll take end-to-end ownership of the financial function, working with an established accounts team and closely with the CEO, owners and Board.

- There’s plenty happening.

- The organisation is transitioning from MYOB to Inerva and preparing for an approximately $40 million development pipeline, including a new 55-bed residential aged care service.

- Part-time (4 days a week) will be considered, otherwise this is a full-time opportunity.

- You’ll pick up the positive groundwork already done, bed down the new system, strengthen processes and become the person people trust to explain not only what the numbers are – but what they’re telling us.

Your remit includes:

- Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting

- Budgeting, forecasting and management reporting

- QFR, aged care funding and compliance

- Taxation, financial controls and governance

- Board reporting and presenting financial information

- Audit and external adviser relationships

- Supporting and guiding the existing accounts team

- Financial input into refurbishment and future development.

AND YOU ARE…?





- Technically strong, certainly. But that’s only part of this appointment.

- We’re looking for a seasoned aged care finance professional who understands that patience, relationships and communication matter too.

- You’re steady, curious and commercially minded. You listen. You don’t become frustrated by another question. And you’re happy to get into the detail while also seeing the bigger picture.

You’ll bring:

- CA or CPA qualification

- Aged care financial accounting experience – essential

- 3+ years’ strong financial accounting experience

- Taxation knowledge and commercial judgement

- Knowledge of aged care funding, reporting and compliance

- Confidence presenting to and working with senior leaders and Boards

- Robust communication, judgement and attention to detail.

- You may currently be a Finance Manager, Senior Financial Accountant or Financial Accountant ready for greater ownership.
