About the Role
We're looking for a Retail Assistant to join our friendly team at Vinnies Young Centre. You'll help create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our customers while supporting the day-to-day running of the store. From serving customers and processing donations to merchandising stock, creating eye-catching displays and keeping the shop looking its best, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in a little bit of everything. At Vinnies, every sale has a purpose, the work you do in our shop helps support programs and services for people experiencing hardship in our community, so you'll know that what you do each day has a meaningful impact.
This is a permanent part-time role, with a minimum of 45 hours per fortnight and availability required across weekdays and Saturdays.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering great customer service. You'll bring a positive, can-do attitude, be reliable and enthusiastic, and enjoy working as part of a team. You're happy to get involved, adapt to changing priorities and take pride in keeping the store welcoming, well-presented and ready for customers. Most importantly, you'll share our commitment to making a difference in the community and enjoy being part of a purpose-driven organisation.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a National Police Check and hold, or be willing to obtain, a Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card upon commencement.
