Chef – Full-Time

Virsa is seeking a motivated and experienced Chef to join our team on a full time basis. The successful candidate will assist in delivering quality meals and maintaining the efficient day-to-day operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes, menu specifications and quality standards.
- Organise and coordinate food preparation and cooking activities to meet daily service requirements.
- Monitor the quality, freshness, taste and presentation of dishes throughout preparation and service.
- Maintain appropriate portion control and consistent cooking and presentation standards.
- Assist with menu planning and contribute to the development and improvement of dishes in consultation with senior kitchen staff and management.
- Check, receive, store and rotate food supplies appropriately to maintain freshness and minimise wastage.
- Monitor kitchen stock levels and assist with ordering and replenishing food supplies to meet daily service requirements.
- Maintain a clean,



safe and organised kitchen environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is used, cleaned and maintained appropriately.
- Liaise and work cooperatively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure efficient and timely service

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen and demonstrate sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety practices. You should be reliable, organised and able to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistent food quality and presentation.

Employment: Full-Time

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 per annum + superannuation
