Under the shade of boab trees sits Derby Children’s Service. This service is very connected to the Derby community and school, taking part in local festivals and providing a school readiness program in the final term. You’ll join a service that offers a nursery, toddlers, and kindy room, and use child-led approaches as daily inspiration.

This position will need you to use your training in early childhood to make a difference in the lives of children and families.

Selection criteria

- Advocate for children and their rights
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement educational programs
- Knowledge of EYLF, NQS, MTOP,



and relevant regulations
- Passion for early childhood and/or school age education and a commitment to providing high-quality care

Requirements

- Eligible to work in Australia and live in Derby
- Hold a Cert 3/Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or Working towards Diploma or ACECQA approved equivalent
- Current WA Working with Children Check
- Satisfactory National Police Clearance
- Foundations of Child Safety Training Certificate
- Advanced Child Safety Training
