IMMEDIATE START: 6 Boilermaker Welders, St Marys NSW

Minimum requirements

- Trade qualified Boilermaker/Welder
- High-level heavy steel workshop AND project experience, which must be shown on your resume
- Robust drawing reading and fabrication skills
- Current GMAW and GTAW welding tickets
- Must pass our weld test (details below)

Background experience

- Heavy steel workshop or heavy steel engineering fabrication
- Project-based structural or plate work to a high standard
- Light fabrication or general welding backgrounds will not be considered.

Weld test

- Joint: Single-V butt weld with material backing, on 12mm plate with a 30° bevel and 12mm root gap
- Process: GMAW
- Wire: ER70S-6
- Sequence: Complete the multi-run fillet on the backing before filling the butt weld. The examiner inspects the root and completed fillet before you finish the butt.
- Testing: 100% VT and 100% UT
- Acceptance standard: ISO 5817 Level C
