About the role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care within a patient-focused acute hospital environment.

The Surgical Registered Nurse will have extensive experience caring for both adult and paediatric surgical patients in an acute hospital setting. The role requires strong clinical knowledge and skills in the pre-operative and post-operative assessment, monitoring and management of surgical patients.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- Excellent time management, prioritisation and clinical decision-making skills in a fast-paced surgical environment.

- A strong commitment to patient safety, infection prevention and control, and quality improvement initiatives.

- The ability to provide high-quality, patient-centred care while effectively managing competing clinical priorities.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills when working within a multidisciplinary team.

- The ability to recognise and respond promptly and appropriately to changes in a patient's clinical condition.

- A commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical practice, documentation and professional nursing care.

About you

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. This position is part time working 72 hours per fortnight.

Key Responsibilities

- Using a patient centred approach to patient assessment
- Maintaining continuity of care for each patient
- Evaluating outcomes of care and initiating appropriate follow-up

What you bring





- AHPRA Registration
- Competent in wound management, pain management, medication administration, and intravenous therapy.

- Solid knowledge of family-centred care and effective communication with paediatric patients and their families.
- Experienced in recognising and responding to clinical deterioration and medical emergencies.

- Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes and a desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
