Administration Support Officer Team Leader
Full Time | $70,000 plus Superannuation

About the Role

GEO Healthcare is seeking a highly organised and motivated Administration Support Officer (ASO) Team Leader to join the healthcare team at the Metropolitan Remand Centre (MRC), Ravenhall.

The ASO Team Leader is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the administrative functions that support the delivery of primary healthcare services within the correctional environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring people in custody receive timely access to healthcare services through effective appointment scheduling, accurate management of patient health records, and the provision of reporting and administrative support.

Working closely with the Health Services Manager and Primary Healthcare Team Leader, the successful applicant will lead the local administration team while contributing to the efficient operation of healthcare services at Metropolitan Remand Centre. Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Administration Support Officer team.
- Ensure health appointments are scheduled and managed within contractual timeframes.
- Oversee the maintenance, confidentiality, and security of patient health records.
- Prepare and manage healthcare activity reporting and administrative documentation.
- Provide administrative support to healthcare staff and management.
- Maintain efficient office systems and workflows that support service delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and professional team environment.
- Ensure compliance with GEO Healthcare policies, procedures,



and correctional centre requirements.

Skills and Experience

Essential Requirements

- Demonstrated understanding of administrative and office procedures.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Experience leading or coordinating a small administrative team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other administrative systems.
- High level of keyboard accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Completion of, or willingness to undertake, a Medical Terminology Course.

Additional Requirements

- Current and valid Australian Driver's Licence.
- Ability to work within a secure correctional workplace and engage professionally with people in custody as part of healthcare service delivery.
- Satisfactory National Criminal History Check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
