About the role

The role will primarily involve completing underground drainage works across domestic and commercial construction sites, including sewer and stormwater installations. You will work across Melbourne's western suburbs and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

- Installing underground sewer and stormwater drainage

- Reading and understanding plans

- Setting out drainage from plans

- Installing sewer branches, inspection openings and connections

- Installing stormwater drainage, pits and associated infrastructure

- Excavation, trench preparation, bedding and backfilling

- Working across domestic and commercial construction sites

- Operating excavators and other machinery where experienced

About you

- 3rd or 4th year plumbing apprentice with solid underground drainage experience, or experienced drainage labourer or qualified plumber





- Experience with underground sewer and stormwater drainage

- Able to read plans

- Understand drainage grades and levels

- Reliable and able to work as part of a team

- Take pride in completing neat, accurate work

- Current driver's licence

- Good understanding of construction site safety
