What you will do

As Senior Policy and Projects Officer, you will develop policy advice on health services in custody.
You will lead projects, assess complex issues and help improve health outcomes.

You will:

- develop clear policy advice on health, mental health and alcohol and other drug services
- identify emerging issues and develop practical options to support effective service delivery
- write complex briefs, reports and project documents for senior decision makers
- lead project planning, manage risks and track key deliverables against agreed goals
- build positive working relationships and support joint work across government and the community

About you

No specific qualification is required for this role. You should have experience developing policy advice or operational frameworks in a complex social or economic policy setting.

You should also have:

- solid policy and analytical skills, with experience examining complex operational, policy and legal issues
- sound knowledge of Victorian Government processes and how government policy work operates
- clear writing and communication skills, with confidence discussing complex or sensitive issues
- strong project skills, with the judgement and resilience to solve problems and deliver results
