SafeCare Educator | Part Time 0.8 EFT | Location Frankston covering Bayside Peninsula Areas & Southern Melbourne areas covering Greater Dandenong , Casey and Cardinia

OzChild is seeking a passionate SafeCare Educator to join our Restoring & Strengthening Families team in Frankston.
This is an opportunity to work directly with families with children aged birth to five years, helping parents build practical skills, confidence and safer home environments through the delivery of the evidence-based SafeCare program.
About the role
Working primarily in families' homes, you will deliver structured SafeCare interventions across:
- Parent–Child Interaction
- Child Health
- Home Safety
You will support parents through coaching, modelling, supported practice and constructive feedback, helping families strengthen their parenting skills and improve outcomes for their children.
You will also assess family needs, identify strengths and risks, respond to child safety concerns and work collaboratively with families and other professionals to support positive and sustainable change.
This role would suit a practitioner who enjoys working directly with families, building strong relationships and seeing practical change happen.
About you
You will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services or a related discipline
- Experience working with children, parents and families experiencing vulnerability
- Robust engagement and communication skills
- The ability to coach,
model and support parents to develop practical skills
- An understanding of child safety, family support and child development
- Strong documentation and organisational skills
- A strengths-based, culturally responsive approach to practice
- The ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
- A current driver's licence and access to reliable transport
Experience in SafeCare, parenting programs, behavioural interventions or social learning approaches will be highly regarded.
Candidates must be available the full week of the 23rd November to undertake 5 days of SafeCare Training even though the role is 4 days per week
OzChild Offers
· Employment: Part Time – 0.8 EFT
Classification: SCHADS Award – Level 5 $ 105, 577.68 (pro rata to 0.8) plus salary packaging of $ 15,900, $ 2650 meals and entertainment or general expenses
· Ex Gratia Days Easter & Christmas
· Hours: Service delivery between 8:00am and 8:00pm, with flexibility required to meet family needs
