Pay: $74,000.00 – $84,000.00 per year

About the Position

The successful applicant will work as part of our early childhood education team to provide high-quality education and care for children aged birth to five years.

The educator will contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of an engaging educational program that supports children's learning, development, wellbeing and individual needs.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with other educators, the Educational Leader, Centre Director and families to create a positive learning environment where children feel safe, secure, valued and respected.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high-quality education and care for children in accordance with the National Quality Framework.

- Build warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children.

- Support children's social, emotional, physical, language and cognitive development.

- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences based on children's interests, strengths and developmental needs.

- Contribute to observations, learning stories, documentation and program planning.

- Implement intentional teaching strategies through play-based learning and everyday experiences.

- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, inclusive and welcoming learning environment.

- Actively supervise children and maintain appropriate supervision at all times.

- Support children's wellbeing, independence, confidence and sense of belonging.

- Develop respectful and professional relationships with families.

- Communicate appropriately with families regarding children's learning, development and wellbeing.

- Work collaboratively with educators and other professionals to support children's individual needs.

- Contribute to room meetings, staff meetings, reflective practice and service improvement.

- Implement the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).





- Contribute to the service's Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement processes.

- Maintain accurate and confidential records relating to children's learning, development and wellbeing.

- Follow all service policies and procedures.

- Comply with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations and other relevant legislative requirements.

- Maintain a strong commitment to child safety, child protection and children's rights.

- Participate in professional development and maintain current knowledge of early childhood practices.

- Contribute positively to a respectful, professional and collaborative team environment.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must have:

- A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or an equivalent recognised qualification.

- A qualification that meets the requirements for a Diploma-qualified educator under the applicable Australian early childhood education and care regulations.

- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or the ability to obtain one.

- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications, or willingness to obtain and maintain these qualifications.

- Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standard (NQS) and National Quality Framework.

- Understanding of child development and appropriate early childhood education practices.

- Understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting responsibilities.
