About the role

Sleep Collective is seeking a practical and experienced Logistics Manager to manage freight, warehousing and distribution operations across our portfolio of trusted brands. This is a hands-on operational role with responsibility for ensuring products move reliably from fulfilment-ready order through dispatch, delivery and physical returns.

You will lead our Australian and overseas customer service teams, coordinate operational improvements across freight and warehousing, and drive a staged transition to AI-enabled customer service, workflow automation and digital self-service.

You do not need to be an AI developer. You must, however, be able to identify practical automation opportunities, evaluate solutions, partner with technology providers and guide employees through operational change while protecting service quality, customer privacy and business information.

Key responsibilities

- Plan and coordinate daily freight bookings, carrier allocation, dispatch priorities and delivery exceptions.

- Apply approved routing rules based on product, destination, service requirements and total delivery cost.

- Monitor shipments through to delivery and respond promptly to missed collections, delays and failed deliveries.

- Manage the day-to-day performance of distribution centres and third-party logistics providers.

- Oversee receiving, storage, stock accuracy, picking, packing and dispatch performance.

- Hold freight carriers and warehouse partners accountable for service, cost, accuracy, reporting and issue resolution.

- Manage controllable freight and warehousing expenses within approved budgets.

- Monitor total logistics spend,



cost per shipment and logistics costs relative to sales.

- Implement approved warehouse, carrier and process changes under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer.

- Report monthly on delivery performance, logistics costs, warehouse accuracy, damages, claims and partner performance.

About you

- Hands-on experience in freight, warehousing, transport, distribution or logistics operations.

- Experience managing freight carriers, warehouses and third-party logistics providers.

- Strong knowledge of dispatch, delivery management, stock movements and physical returns.

- Demonstrated experience resolving delivery failures, stock discrepancies, damage claims and operational exceptions.

- Solid cost-analysis, invoice-checking and commercial-management skills.

- Experience monitoring service levels and holding external partners accountable for performance.

- Confidence using order-management, inventory and reporting systems.

- Strong analytical and practical problem-solving capabilities.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills.

- A hands-on management style with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
