About the Role

As a result of continued growth, GPA Engineering is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Adelaide team. This role is suited to an engineer with approximately 4 to 7 years’ experience who is looking to broaden their technical capability, work across a diverse range of projects and industries, including oil & gas, mining, materials handling, water and power.

You will work alongside experienced engineers, designers and multidisciplinary project teams, with opportunities to strengthen your technical skills, gain broader project exposure and progressively take greater ownership of design and project delivery.

Key Duties:

- Undertake civil and structural design, modelling and analysis across a diverse range of projects.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, designers and multidisciplinary project teams to develop practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Apply relevant Australian Standards, engineering principles and client requirements to project designs.
- Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews and project delivery.
- Develop your technical and project management capabilities, with opportunities to take on greater responsibility as you progress.





We are looking for a collaborative and technically capable engineer with strong problem-solving skills and an interest in continuing to develop their civil and structural engineering career.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

- Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an Australian-recognised institution, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Experience: Approximately 4 to 7 years of relevant civil and/or structural engineering experience.
- Industry Experience: Experience in heavy industry sectors such as oil & gas, mining, materials handling, water or power will be highly regarded.
- Structural Design: Experience in the analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures.
- Engineering Software: Familiarity with structural analysis and design software such as SpaceGass, SAP2000, RAM/Limcon or Strand7.
- Civil Design: Exposure to drainage, earthworks, pavements or roadworks would be advantageous.
- Australian Standards: Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 1170, AS 1657, AS 3600, AS 4100 and AS 5100, as applicable.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

A requirement for this role is to complete a satisfactory pre-employment medical check and Australian police clearance.
