We are seeking a dedicated culinary professional to join our team at Uniting Mingaletta in Port Macquarie. In this role, you will take ownership of your shifts, maintain flawless kitchen standards, and deliver exceptional meal services to our community. This position offers daytime hours with no late finishes, providing an outstanding work-life balance compared to traditional hospitality roles. You will play a key role in overseeing daily kitchen operations, driving bulk meal preparation, and delivering wholesome, high-quality dining experiences for our residents.

Roster:

Thursday - Monday 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure high-quality, efficient, and timely meal services.
- Prepare standard menus as well as specialized, texture-modified, and therapeutic diets tailored to residents' needs.
- Maintain high culinary standards, ensuring food flavor, optimal temperature, and appealing visual presentation.
- Uphold rigorous food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards across all shifts.
- Work collaboratively with staff to foster a productive, positive, and supportive kitchen culture.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven background in fast-paced kitchens; experience in aged care, healthcare, hospitality, or commercial catering is highly desirable.




- Empathetic and dedicated to meeting individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills to maintain smooth operations during weekend shifts.
