We are partnering with a fantastic Melbourne-based organisation on a confidential Industrial Relations project and are seeking an experienced IR / Workplace Relations Advisor for an initial four-month fixed-term contract.

Working alongside the IR Manager, you will undertake detailed Modern Award interpretation, position and classification reviews and support the development of practical, sustainable workforce frameworks.

The role will include:

- Reviewing roles to determine appropriate Modern Award coverage and classification levels;
- Assessing award-covered versus award-free positions;
- Interpreting award provisions and employment conditions;
- Reviewing position descriptions, classifications and existing workforce practices;
- Supporting the development of award mapping and classification frameworks;
- Identifying inconsistencies and areas requiring further review;
- Contributing to position and job-title harmonisation;
- Reviewing relevant policies and processes from an IR perspective; and
- Documenting findings, rationale and recommendations.

About you:

You will bring Industrial Relations or Workplace Relations experience with demonstrated capability in Modern Award interpretation, award coverage and classifications. You may come from an in-house IR/ER role, consulting environment, employer association, skilled services or another complex multi-award environment.



Most importantly, you will be comfortable getting into the technical detail, working through complex classification questions and translating industrial instruments into clear, practical outcomes.

This is an initial four-month FTC with an immediate commencement preferred.
