The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance & Inventory Specialist to join our team, supporting a major mining operation in Europe.
This is a hands-on consulting role focused on mechanical spares, inventory and warehouse management across multiple yards. You'll work closely with maintenance, procurement and warehouse teams to ensure critical spares are available and effectively managed.
This is a 12-month FIFO role. Candidates must be EU citizens with unrestricted rights to work in the European Union.

What You'll Be Doing

- Managing mechanical spares and inventory across multiple yards
- Providing day-to-day direction to the warehouse/spares team
- Maintaining accurate stock records, stock levels and inventory controls
- Conducting stocktakes and inventory reconciliations
- Identifying critical, obsolete and excess spares
- Supporting maintenance planning through effective spare parts management
- Improving warehouse organisation, storage, tracking and issuing processes
- Coordinating the movement of spares between yards and work areas
- Working with Procurement and Maintenance on purchasing and replenishment




- Identifying opportunities to reduce inventory costs and improve efficiency
- Supporting the identification and specification of mechanical spare parts
- Providing practical advice on spare requirements based on equipment and maintenance needs
- Preparing inventory and materials management reports

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, spare parts, inventory or warehouse management, in mining
- Strong mechanical background and understanding of industrial equipment and spare parts
- Experience managing warehouse operations across multiple locations
- Experience leading or coordinating warehouse/inventory teams
- Strong understanding of stock control, replenishment and materials management
- Ability to identify critical, obsolete and excess inventory
- Comfortable working with maintenance and operational teams in a site environment
- Solid communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and drive practical improvements
- Experience with ERP, CMMS or inventory systems is desirable
- Mechanical trade, engineering or equivalent technical qualification is desirable
- Must be an EU citizen with unrestricted EU work rights
- Must be willing and able to FIFO
