As we continue to grow our manufacturing capability, we're looking for experienced CNC Machinists to join our permanent night shift at our Holden Hill facility.

The Opportunity

This is a permanent night shift position, working 11:00pm – 7:06am.

If you're an experienced machinist looking for a stable permanent night shift, modern CNC equipment and interesting, high-precision work, we'd like to hear from you.

You'll work with advanced CNC equipment, including 5-axis and Mill-Turn technology, manufacturing high-precision components for projects supporting Australia's defence and advanced manufacturing industries.

Depending on your experience, you may initially complete training on day shift before transitioning to your permanent night shift.

What You'll Be Doing

- Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines, including Okuma, Haas and Mazak

- Manufacture high-precision components from a variety of materials

- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications

- Perform tool changes and tool wear offsets

- Make machine adjustments to optimise quality and productivity

- Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment

- Troubleshoot machining issues and contribute to continuous improvement

- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment

- Work collaboratively with the manufacturing team to achieve production targets without compromising quality

About You

We're looking for experienced machinists who are comfortable working permanent night shift and take pride in producing high-quality work.

To be successful, you'll have:





- Trade qualification in Mechanical Engineering – Fitter & Turner, Toolmaker, Machinist or equivalent

- Demonstrated experience operating CNC milling and turning machines – essential

- Experience with CNC programming and editing (MasterCAM desirable)

- Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings

- Experience using precision measuring equipment

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude

- Reliability, a positive attitude and strong work ethic

- Current Drivers License

- National Police Clearance within 12 months or willingness to obtain

Highly Desirable

Experience in the following will be highly regarded:

- 5-axis CNC machining, or a willingness to develop your skills in this area

- Mill-Turn machining, or a willingness to learn

- Precision manufacturing, defence or aerospace environments
